| A current carrying conductor positioned through
the aperture of the sensor creates a magnetic field that is proportionate to the current. This field is concentrated by the core and sensed by the Hall Effect element that is mounted in the air gap of the core. The Hall generator is connected to the input of the amplifier which amplified the voltage. The output is an output voltage. |
The primary current lp produces a magnetic
flux. This magnetic flux is aligned by a complementary flux produced by
driving a current through the secondary windings. A hall device and associated electronic circuit generate the compensating current that is used for the output. The conversion of the output current to an output voltage is easily done by adding a "measurement resistor", RM, in series with the secondary coil. |
