Bristol Instruments DWDM Wavelength Meter
| BFi OPTiLAS, pan-european partner of Bristol Instruments, is extending its range of Optical Wavemeters.
The 428 Series Multi-Wavelength Meter is designed for testing DWDM signals for the Telecom market. The 428 can measure 250 wavelengths simultaneously, has the highest accuracy on the market and is approximately half the current market leader price. The 428 is available in a 428A and 428B version, with +/- 0.3pm and +/- 1.2pm accuracy, respectively. |

| The new 328 Series Wavelength Meters are designed for single wavelength measurement and utilize FFT processing, similar to the 428 Series Multi-Wavelength Meters. It combines the proven Michelson interferometer-based technology with Fast Fourier Transform analysis, allowing the 328 Series to measure CW or modulated tunable DWDM lasers, DFB lasers, and VCSELs. The 328 Series is designed for the telecom market and fits neatly between the 228 and 428 Series. BFi OPTiLAS has also added the extended XIR range (2.0 12.0µm) to the 621 Series Wavelength Meters, and the 721 Laser Spectrum Analyzers. The new models are the 621B-XIR and 721B-XIR. |

Photon inc: Laser M2 Measurement Tool
| BFi OPTiLAS, Pan-European partner of Ophir / Photon laser measurement group, is glad to announce the NanoModeScan M2 Laser Beam Propagation Analyzer. NanoModeScan enables the quantitative measurement and viewing of high power CO2 laser beams. The system is easy to setup and align; the straight line of sight design means little or no attenuation is required. NanoModeScan is also fast; an M2 measurement can be made in as little as 20 seconds. In addition, the system reports beam waist diameter and location, divergence, and the beam's Rayleigh range for each axis. The NanoModeScan's ease of use and fast update rate (up to 20Hz) make it ideal for CO2 laser-based material processing, machining, and marking applications where laser performance needs to be adjusted in real-time. The NanoModeScan's software controlled variable scan speed allows the measurement of both CW and kHz pulsed lasers, covering the entire wavelength range from UV to FIR. |
